The Destiny of Lovers

They say the destiny of the lovers of Allahﷻ is tears—tears of agony when separated, tears of elation when gaining proximity with Him. Such is the tale of love; life in its frantic frenzy fever discovers the meaning, mystery, and source of love. This journey to Him is a love affair.

We embark on this heroic quest, an epic fight with our self to transcend limitations, battling inner demons, surmounting barriers and mountains to reach the arms of our Lover. This romantic journey where we willingly die for love changes us—we become awakened, noble, and brave. In recognizing ourselves, we recognize our Beloved and that dire, overwhelming need for Him from our innermost core.

This madness of love, this intense yearning to reach Him, leads our heart to find The Meaning. This is our Saga of Love with Allahﷻ. This is the story of our heart.

The Heart's Discovery

I have asked countless times: Who am I? Why am I born and for what? What is the meaning of my existence? Where did I come from, where do I belong? Where is my home? Every time I denied realization, I felt an overwhelming need for Allahﷻ. Where does this need come from? Why is it such a powerful call?

And yet I had to live. From my fabricated presumptuousness, I crashed into my frailty, fragility, and fallibility. There is no escape from my humanness—this vortex of human experiences where I bear, bewail, lose, fall, rise, love, reign, wither, and die. Living through this range of experiences cannot be purposeless. This inevitability of life, this vulnerability, cannot be in vain.

Then I met my heart. My heart found me. As a child, sunsets would make my heart palpitate, witnessing their magnificence. I felt in those pink, orange hues a Beyond where I came from—a realm I prayed for wings to fly back to. This mystery of the heart is both door and pathway of love, revolving around The Love between Creator and creation.

Encounters with the Divine

Our hearts, created by Allahﷻ, belong to Him—they bear His imprint, the memory and secrets of knowing Him. I felt His Majesty whispering goodbyes at graves. I recognized mortality walking that ground daily. Had I not been broken, I’d never know He is Al Jami—the Gatherer. Forlorn, I found Him my Companion. Humbled, I was embraced by Al Kibriya.

In surrendering sajdas, I discovered Al Ghaffar’s kindness. You rise with Allahu Akbar, descend with SubhanAllah. I don’t need to be understood—Al Latif and Al Khabeer know. No love beyond Al Wadud’s. No distance He can’t cross as Al Qareeb, nearer than my jugular vein. Every event is an encounter with Him alone.

I come from Divine Breath; my Ruh is Amr Rabbi. Heart expresses the Ruh, becoming the locus where His light manifests. Man is where Allahﷻ manifests His light and love. The heart discerns truth—love is cognition.

The Hadith of Divine Love

Abu Hurayrah (RA) narrates: Allahﷻ said, "Whosoever shows enmity to a Wali of Mine, I declare war on him... When I love him, I become his hearing, sight, hand, foot... Were he to ask, I give; seek refuge, I grant." And the Prophet (SAW) said, "Beware the firasah of a believer—he sees with Allah’s light." (Imam Tirmidhi)

This journey is the hayra of the heart—from ignorance to hikmah, baseerah, firasah. In surrender, humility, purity, the heart becomes luminous. We find ourselves, find Him. Man is Arif, Abid, Aashiq. Life is a beatific quest—ecstasy of finding, knowing, reaching, returning to Him.
